Hotel España Ocean Drive

We had a spotless, comfortable room with a great bed, good equipment, and a lovely balcony for morning coffee. The hotel’s interiors are stunning, thoughtfully designed, and finished to a high standard. Breakfast had a fantastic selection, and the breakfast and bar teams made things feel friendly and relaxed. Reception staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole team stayed attentive and professional throughout. With the location, hotel, staff, and food all brilliant, we’d happily return and recommend it.

We had a lovely night. Someone at the lobby door helped us with our suitcases when we arrived, and Tiberio was really friendly at check-in and got us a nice room. We had a drink on the rooftop at night and enjoyed the sun.

For a short stay, it was decent enough. The staff were very attentive, and the location near the centre of Barcelona was really good. Still, I didn’t feel completely safe because there were lots of drunk people and drug addicts roaming the street. The room was okay and had the amenities I needed to be comfortable. It was loud in the hallways, and I could hear people talking outside from inside my room. Definitely not the best, but good enough for a short stay.

The rooms were roomy and spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. We also appreciated the big, fluffy towels and the useful amenities, especially the excellent WiFi, which mattered to my 10-year-old son. The staff were helpful and great to deal with. We stayed three nights for the location, but the hotel would work just as well for a romantic break. It’s beautiful and in a fantastic spot, and I’d happily stay again and recommend it.
