Hotel SB Glow 4 Sup

During my stay from March 27th to March 28th, I was woken around 2:00 AM by a man loudly knocking and trying my door. He said he had the wrong room and left. About an hour later, the same man unlocked the door and walked into my room. I screamed, jumped out of bed, and turned on the lights. He again said it was a mistake and went out. I was terrified and felt completely unsafe, and I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. I told management the next morning. The female manager refused responsibility and blamed me, saying I must not have shut the door properly. That's false. The door closes automatically and needs a key card to open from outside. My own key card had also malfunctioned the day before, leaving me unable to get into my room. I asked to check CCTV to find out whether the man had entered by accident or whether there was a key card system error. The hotel said it would seek permission to view the footage and email me the video. I still haven't received anything, any follow-up, or even a formal apology. The way this serious security incident was handled was appalling. They blamed the guest instead of addressing a system that may be flawed. For your own safety, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location is handy, right by the metro station connected to the L1 line, a tram stop, and places like the Westfield. My room was roomy enough and had everything we needed. There's a pool on the rooftop with an amazing view and a really cool vibe. Such a cute hotel. I'd consider staying again next time I'm in Barcelona.

I checked out after just one night and booked somewhere else, where the experience was much better. The welcome here had already felt cold and unaccommodating, especially from reception staff Chantel, who was dismissive and unhelpful. Nobody offered to help with my luggage. The building looked run down from outside, and inside the tired, poorly maintained décor didn't match the photos online at all. Those pictures are honestly misleading. I rarely write negative reviews, but I wouldn't recommend Hotel SB Glow to anyone expecting even basic hospitality or a match between the photos and the real place.

This hotel has a lot of potential, with a lovely interior and a good location, but the reception staff made the experience feel poor. The two women at the desk seemed more interested in talking privately than serving me. A friendly young man eventually helped. When I asked about the early check-in already settled by email, one of the women quietly told him in Spanish that check-in was at 3 p.m. and I wasn't getting any special requests. It was foolish to say that in Spanish when I understood it. Before arriving, I tried calling for at least three days to ask about check-in and was brushed off more than ten times. Emails went unanswered too. I only got an unfriendly response after a customer advisor from Hotels.com contacted them. It's sad that a hotel with such high potential is let down by poor reception. The front desk is the hotel's flagship, and if the people there are incompetent, the interior, location, and everything else count for nothing.
