NH Barcelona Les Corts

The location is really good, but the busy streets stayed noisy even at night. The room wasn't clean and was very loud too, with thin walls that let us hear even quiet conversations from the neighbors. There was a constant bad smell in the bathroom. The staff were very kind and helpful, which is the only reason I gave three stars instead of two.

The location is a bit far from most of the main tourist sights, so plan for that. There's a shopping mall a short walk away, with easy public transit and hop-on, hop-off bus tours. As part of a cruise package, we found the service fantastic from the moment we arrived, attentive, friendly, and efficient. The hotel has a slightly boutique feel, with only about 8-9 rooms on each floor. The lifts are tiny, so staff bring luggage to your room. At busy times, a few lifts can go by completely full while you wait. Our room needs some TLC: there was water damage, presumably because the shower lip is too short and water gets onto the floor however carefully you try to avoid it. Even the pillow covers had holes.

The hotel was clean, good value, and in a great spot near markets and some restaurants, though the restaurants were closed because it was holiday season. Taxis were easy to get there, and the staff were friendly, especially Mark. They also let us leave our luggage at the hotel while we took a short trip to Seville.

At 180 euros a night, I expected more. It's an extremely basic hotel and breakfast isn't even included. Not worth the money, and I wouldn't stay here again.
