The location keeps bringing us back. The hotel is at the quieter end of La Rambla, around 200m from Placa Catalunya, close to restaurants, the Gothic Quarter, shopping, the Metro and taxis. We visit Barcelona every year and spend little time inside, so being ignored at reception doesn’t put us off. Apart from being acknowledged at check-in, we had no further contact with staff, which felt odd in such a small hotel where you pass reception whenever you come and go. Service isn’t especially friendly, so don’t count on much help. The terrace rooms look over a great range of lively restaurants, but shut the windows and you can’t hear them. The room and bathroom were a comfortable size and spotlessly clean. Toiletries were limited to a small hand soap and shower gel in the bath, with no shower cap or vanity kit, so bring your own. Breakfast was basic but enough. We’ve stayed before and would return in a flash.

There’s a gym and restaurant, plus a nice rooftop pool area overlooking Rambla de Catalunya. Our room had a cute little balcony, lots of wardrobe storage, and a huge, very modern bathroom. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the location was perfect. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

It’s a basic, functional hotel in a handy spot for exploring Barcelona. You’re at the quieter end of Rambla, with restaurants nearby and the metro just around the corner. Plaça De Catalunya and the airport bus are about 100 yards away. Breakfast could be better, but overall it’s not a bad place to stay.

I spent much of the night coughing because the dust set off my allergies. Walking 20,000 steps around Barcelona wasn’t what wore me out most, it was trying to get through the night in this hotel. The room was dusty, the floors were dirty and it all felt neglected. Noise from outside and inside the building kept coming, and the shutters rattled all night, making sleep almost impossible. The bathroom smelled bad and was in poor shape, with no liquid soap. The towels were stiff, old-looking and discolored. There was just one long pillow on the bed, and it was very uncomfortable. Even a kettle was missing. Honestly, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I can’t recommend it, especially if cleanliness, comfort and a decent night’s sleep matter to you.

Our room was very large, with two large single beds, and it was quiet. But its only window faced the staircase rather than outside, so it wouldn’t suit anyone who needs fresh air. Booking.com didn’t mention the window, and I think that should be made clear. The location is great, about 5 minutes from pl.Catalunya with restaurants everywhere. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, with bread, sweets, fruit, sausage, ham, cheese, cereals and more. There was free coffee in the breakfast room around the clock. Some reception staff weren’t very smiley or friendly, though others were helpful. There’s also a very small, deep pool on the rooftop. We were satisfied with our stay.
