Marina added a warm community feel with yoga, weekly morning meetups, and other events. The Gothic Quarter location is close to the water and surrounded by good places for food and coffee, making it a great place to settle in Barcelona. The property has been fully renovated, and it shows. My room opened directly onto the terrace and had lovely natural light throughout the day, which made a real difference while I worked remotely.

Marina and her colleague were excellent hosts, and I really enjoyed the time I spent with them. The location is great, with Barceloneta nearby and direct access to Colon Avenue, which makes getting around and going for a run easy. The rooms and common areas are impressively spacious. The building combines traditional charm with modern design, and the furnishings are all new and very comfortable.

The social space is the main drawback. There’s no living room, so gathering as a group was a little difficult. We used the co-working table, which wasn’t ideal. There is a terrace that might work better when the weather is dry, but it closes at 10pm. Still, I met a fun, social, international group, so the lack of a shared lounge didn’t get in our way too much :) The property is modern and well designed, with new appliances, simple but elegant decor, and a spacious room with a comfortable bed. It’s close to the L3 and L4. Marina held weekly events, and it was fun having dinner together as a group.

The room was roomy and comfortable, and the design of the shared space felt good. The kitchen has everything you need, and there are lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Getting to the house means going through cobblestone alleyways. The elevator is cramped, just enough for one person and a check-in bag, but I was glad it was there. All the locks use codes, so there’s no need for keys. The WiFi is superfast. My only issues were that the twin bed felt too small for my 6 ft frame and I wish the pillow had more support.
