Pensión Ciudadela

We really appreciated how understanding they were when there was an issue with the credit card on our reservation. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the shower was excellent. The woman who checked us in was kind, and we got along well in English. There was free drinking water from a large dispenser, plus little packaged croissants and cakes in the shared kitchen for breakfast. The Born location was a real plus, close to the Gothic Quarter, metro, Barceloneta, Ciutadela Park, and good places to eat. The double bed mattress was less comfortable: when I lay on my side, I felt like I was rolling toward the edge. We also would have preferred four towels for the two of us instead of three, and a small table on each side of the bed would be useful. They were professional throughout. Many thanks to them.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the people here were warm and kind. After our passports were stolen in Barcelona, the staff at Pension were especially empathetic and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable. It's on a main road and really well placed for getting around on foot or by public transport.

The apartment's location is perfect, and the rooftop was so cozy and nice that I could have sat there all day. The rooms and bathroom were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the host and staff were pleasant and professional.

The location was okay, but the room descriptions are fake and the rooms smell bad. DO NOT go there!!!
