The lack of AC, as advertised, was rough in July, and the Wi-Fi was painfully slow while I was there for business. On the plus side, the price was affordable and customer service was available around the clock. There’s a shared area stocked with lots of kitchen supplies, which suited me since I went to the grocery store up the street more than the restaurants. They also provided shampoo and body wash, and after checkout I could leave my luggage in a locked room that only employees could access.

If you’re spending your time exploring Barcelona and just need somewhere clean to sleep, this is a reasonable budget option. The location makes it easy to get downtown and to the sights, and the quiet neighborhood has no nightlife nearby, so it’s good for resting. For Barcelona prices, it’s decent value, though the place is pretty spartan. It’s essentially student accommodation. Our room and bathroom were clean but both very small. We’d requested twin beds and got a bunk instead. If you want to spend time in your room beyond sleeping, or you’re looking for nightlife, you may want somewhere else.

There are good restaurants nearby and public transport is close. My street-facing room was a bit noisy.

Too expensive for what it is, and the place isn’t that good.
