Sweet Inn - Ethnic Eixample

The location is convenient, but our Christmas stay at Sweett Eixample with my family turned into a stressful holiday. In heavy rain, the ceiling leaked and the Wi-Fi went out. We lost nearly a whole day waiting for staff to come. The building also isn't family-friendly: the tiny elevator doesn't reach every floor, so we had to carry heavy bags upstairs, and the washing machine was tucked away in an inconvenient, poorly kept spot. The bigger problem was the "Resolution Team." On WhatsApp, the "Barcelona Sweett" team officially promised a full refund for our remaining 2 nights and extra compensation for the disruption once it was clear the problems couldn't be fixed. After checkout, the Resolution Team reversed that agreement. They said the earlier assurances were made "outside the scope of authority" and wouldn't provide the promised compensation. It's hard to know whom to trust when the company's own official channels contradict each other. They also described a standard refund as a "goodwill gesture," which showed no accountability for the holiday disruption. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. The Resolution Team seemed more focused on avoiding responsibility than keeping its written commitments. Very dishonest and stressful during the holiday season.
