The Hostel Box - Gaudi

I spent a night at a downtown hostel before moving here, and the difference was huge. At this place, the welcome makes you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The staff are friendly and inviting, and they cook a free dinner for guests each night. The rooms are clean and tidy, with air conditioning too. This hostel feels like a real find in Barcelona. I'd definitely recommend it!

Just turned up for one night without a booking, and everyone was great. It's called "Hostel One Gaudi". The beds were big enough even for a big guy like me at 194cm. Coffee and things are free, and people head out together for sightseeing and parties. Highly recommend it, I'll come back!

That so-called boss spoiled what had otherwise been a perfect stay. It was my second visit, and it's also my last. I'm almost 2 meters tall, and they'd given me a spare bed so I could avoid muscle spasms and other discomfort. Then the boss came to show someone the facilities and cowardly told the young worker with glasses that I should move to a regular box bed, with no room to sit or sleep comfortably. I wish the place had more humane ownership. I'll make my experience widely heard on social media so people boycott it until this boss is replaced. This idiot can go to hell until he personally apologizes to me.

Lovely little hostel in an amazing local neighbourhood, and a great place to meet other travellers. The staff are what make it special. A must-stay in Barcelona.
