Sol Guadalupe

The staff were the best part of my stay. Everyone was kind, attentive and ready to help, and the security man deserves a special mention. He was such a lovely person and made me feel safe and welcome. His positive energy and professionalism really stood out. My room was cozy, kept in beautiful condition and cleaned thoroughly every day. The hotel is less than five minutes from the beach and close to the main attractions, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. I had an amazing stay, with a great atmosphere and service that went beyond what I expected. I'll definitely come back.

The trouble started around 12:30 a.m. on our final night. A security guard and another hotel employee came into room 905 without warning or knocking. We were frightened, then saw that water had filled the room up to our ankles. Our luggage, old clothes, souvenirs from Magaluf, new clothes from Zara in Palma and clothes from Cala D'or were soaked and damaged. My wife and I had booked one Sol Sea View Room for three nights, 28 September to 1 October 2025, through Agoda.com, reference 1901648730. We had an early flight the next morning, 2 October, and had to leave at 9:25 a.m. They didn't give us another room until 2 p.m. After repeated follow-ups at reception, we were moved to room 124, which had a lower tariff and no sea view. Nobody helped dry or carry our things to the new room. We had to travel to the airport in wet clothes, carrying wet items in our suitcases and dealing with the extra weight. We asked for the manager and were told they weren't there, and that we could speak the next morning. At 9 a.m. we asked again, but the manager still wasn't available by 9:25, so we had to leave to catch our flight without speaking to them. We came all the way from India and spent a lot to be there. This was unprofessional and unacceptable, and ruined our holiday. Our stated losses were 77 euros for the new Zara dresses from Palma, 63 euros for Magaluf souvenirs, and 48 euros for new clothes from Cala D'or, as well as one night in the lower-tariff room. To date, we've received no compensation despite being promised it and following up repeatedly. We have attached some photos and videos for reference.

The food was usually cold, which was the part of the stay I liked least. Otherwise the hotel was decent for the price, though I don't think it deserves four stars. We were there for six nights at the end of September, as the season was ending. Staff were pleasant, helpful and quick to respond. The room was nice but small, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The cleaning staff were responsive too, but their routine seemed limited to changing towels, wiping the table, changing the ashtray and taking out rubbish. They didn't wash anything or change the bedding. For three nights in a row, drunk neighbours on our floor banged and shouted as if trying to break down our door. We didn't contact reception because we didn't see the point.

We barely used the pool because it was freezing, which made such a large pool feel like a waste of upkeep. I came on holiday to swim and didn't get to do much of it. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The food was the biggest letdown. The meat tasted strange and the quality seemed questionable. Everything came across cheap and weird, and I didn't find a single tasty thing. It didn't feel like a four-star buffet either, with food spread thin and duplicate dishes put out to fill the room. We stayed at a three-star place in ibiza where the food was better. Half board felt like a waste of money, so I wouldn't recommend it.
