Hotel Rebeco

We had a great view from the balcony, and the room was clean and authentic, with a modern bathroom. It was also very quiet, with thick walls that insulated much better than in a standard hotel room. The hotel is ideally placed, with a short walk to the cable cars up to the Picos de Europa. The restaurant serves fresh local food, and we can definitely recommend the trout. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. They did their best to speak English, and even used Google Translate when we ate at the restaurant.

The terrace was lovely, and the service was okay, but the meal was a bit disappointing. The lamb chops had very little meat, the fries were soggy, and while the salmon was okay, the hake was fried. Desserts were okay too, nothing special. We were staying across the street and came here for dinner. There’s better food in Potes, though it’s a half-hour drive, or nearby at casa Vicente Campo.

The cable car is close by, which is perfect since we're hiking tomorrow. The rooms have everything we need for a night in the mountains, and I've never stayed in a hotel this clean. The whole place is spotless and tidy. We loved the stitched samplers on the walls. Family members made them, and they're amazing works of art. What a fantastic place. Thank you 😊

The fish soup was tasty, though overpriced. The rest of the food was the biggest letdown: everything came with chips, there were no vegetables, and it was very expensive. €18 for a dozen fried cod nuggets with a shredded lettuce leaf and one cherry tomato. We live in Spain and enjoy Spanish breakfasts, but this one was basic. The room was very clean, and the location is amazing for an early cable car trip. Staff were friendly. The beds were short and hard, so our feet hung over the edge, and the shower curtain was too small, leaving the bathroom floor flooded. Since the hotel is at the end of the road, it has a captive market and can charge what it likes. Tip: go through the top car park to the campsite, where the bar serves more authentic food.
