Villa Perla Blanca

The view is breathtaking, and the setting is very peaceful. Marc was helpful. But calling this a luxury villa is a gross exaggeration: things are quite worn, including the old cushions and garden furniture. There’s no gas grill, the pizza oven is broken, the parasols are broken, and their stands are very old. There’s no dryer either. The pool was poorly maintained and needs cleaning daily, not just every three days. We have a pool of our own, so we can judge. Renting here also means a long 3.8 km drive from Sayalonga along adventurous roads. There are hardly any shops in Sayalonga, so for groceries at Lidl, Mercadona, or Aldi, you have to go down into the valley to Algarrobo.

The pool has a cool view over the valley, and the furnishings were clean and well maintained. Getting here means tackling a winding road that’s sometimes narrow and steep, so it’s not for beginners or the faint-hearted. Otherwise, five stars plus for the location.
