I’ve never stayed at the hotel, but don’t miss the bar. My wife, father-in-law and I went exploring in the Grao to find a good place for weekly brunch, and this is the one for us. The food is top notch: fresh, tasty bread and a superb selection of boccadillos. Their carajillo is spot on, with coffee beans and lemon zest. The staff, except for Emiliano (not a typical Spanish name), are businesslike rather than very friendly. Maybe I need to go more often to earn their smiles.

Comfy beds, blackout curtains and a good shower, just what I needed while jet lagged. I enjoyed the stay. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor; the menu is in Spanish, but the waitress was helpful in suggesting a good meal.

Quiet, beautiful and clean surroundings, with friendly people. There’s a variety of Spanish dishes to choose from, well prepared and nicely presented. Prices are a little on the high side, and the dishes felt low quality for people who eat more.

The apartment had a balcony with fake grass where you could hang out, and it had all the equipment needed to make food. It’s a great place for a group of friends to gather for pre-drinks. This was a separate apartment used for bigger groups, not part of the main hotel. The hotel apartment was clean and well located, a five-minute walk to the beach and 15-20 minutes on foot to the Rottom festival. My only criticism is the amenities: no blow dryer or iron.

The rooms were very clean, but the soundproofing needs some work. You can hear everyone passing in the hallway.
