The location was fantastic, about a five-minute walk to the old town, with everything within walking distance. We chose it for the location, price, and pool. The pool was lovely in the afternoons, though it may get busy depending on the season, and there aren't many loungers. We got a larger room at check-in, which was quick and efficient, and the extra bed space made it more comfortable. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is older and shows its age in places, but generally well maintained. The ramps in some hallways and rooms felt odd, though they were better than steps. The room and bathroom were a good size. The bathroom had a bathtub, so the shower area was smaller than a regular stall. The sink, counter, and toilet were unusually low for a tall European, but usable. Housekeeping was excellent, with the room spotless each day. Wifi was okay, though not fantastic, as in much of Spain. Breakfast was the one thing that disappointed us. There seemed to be a different cook each of the three mornings, and none got the bacon or scrambled eggs right. The bacon was good quality but barely fried. The eggs were either cooked to death or so runny they could have been soup. The bread rolls were bake-up goods, but unfortunately they hadn't been baked. A decent hotel for a decent price. I might book again.

I don't often leave reviews this negative, but this stay was bad. Our room smelled of mildew, and after five hours trying to cool it down, they moved us to another room where we had to start the process all over again. We were sweating while trying to sleep. One colleague had no power on one side of their room, including to the refrigerator. We got local food for dinner and tried to eat in reception, which was the coolest area but smelled of smoke. An employee told us we couldn't eat there and chased us away. I don't recommend this hotel.

The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The location was great, but the hotel felt very dated. The hairdryer was poor and the air-conditioning barely worked. We were told the pool would be open, but it wasn't. If it had been available, it looked like it would get a decent mix of sun and shade in the afternoon.

The air-conditioning was my main concern. On a 42°C day, the room unit was old and ineffective, with only one or two fan settings and no temperature control. I told reception the room was too hot, but nothing meaningful was done, leaving me uncomfortable and disappointed in a country known for extreme heat. The pool is small and overcrowds easily, so it's hard to enjoy. The hotel feels more like a 3-star property. Not what I expected.
