We loved the wine jar, and the cozy restaurant felt really welcoming. The service was quick, too. One of the best menú del día meals we've tried :) We only just learned that they have rooms upstairs. The location is great, so we might check them out next time!

The old-fashioned setting, with its pillars and terracotta jugs, would be perfect for a wedding. We had such a lovely meal that it felt like coming home to my mother. The food was home-cooked and delicious, and the menú del día is €10 per person from 1pm onwards. There were choices like homemade soup, paella or other starters, then fish or estefado de ternero, a goulash-style dish with juicy slow-cooked beef in rich sauce and a few chips. The bread came in big chunks, and we enjoyed a jug of red or white wine. Dessert was ice cream, cream caramel or fresh fruit. I can't fault the place. We'll definitely come back to Cuenca and eat here again, and this time we'll stay in the pension too. Thank you for spoiling us. Janet Taylor, Pedreguer. Spain
