La Caseta de Sastre

The location was good, the house had enough equipment for a few days, and the heating worked. But we were disappointed, especially by the cleanliness. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, cheese bits on the table, and a used plastic cup in one bedroom. Having to make your own bed, then strip it again before leaving, wasn’t appealing either. One sofa was incredibly uncomfortable, and some beds were rickety.

A huge disappointment. We stayed in two of the houses offered as La Caseta del Sastre, and neither felt well maintained or clean. There were cobwebs on the windows, and the garden is shared with the owners, separated from the houses by a street, so you can’t use it freely or get any privacy. The house in the Plaza was especially uncomfortable. It has four floors stacked vertically, no dining room, and tiny spaces. There were no hangers or clothes wardrobes in the bedrooms, just something like a closet in a hallway. There weren’t even bedside lamps, so reading in the rooms wasn’t possible. The bathrooms are internal, and the bath towels were very thin and scarce, with no hand towels, only shower towels. The kitchens were poorly equipped and maintained, with too little kitchenware and what was there in bad condition. One kitchen had no oven, the microwave grill didn’t work properly, and the extractor hood dripped grease. The metal fireplace had sharp edges, and within our first 15 minutes in the house, two people had cut themselves. The sofas were uncomfortable, the sloped ceilings too low, there was a wasp nest in a skylight, and a broken blind on another skylight let in light that kept us from sleeping. The neighbor’s dogs barked every time we went to enter one of the houses. In short, a huge disappointment.

We had a great time, and everyone was very friendly. Everything was perfect. We left a pair of glasses behind, and they sent them back right away for free. They arrived safely packed and in perfect condition.

You have to make your own beds when you arrive. The doors are really noisy, and the sofa is pretty worn.
