We couldn’t make the trip to see the San Fermin festival for reasons beyond our control, even though we’d booked a room to stay beforehand. The cancellation period had passed, but when we called and explained the situation, they agreed to waive the fee without asking us to go into much detail. The person who helped us on the call was kind and empathetic. That sort of service feels uncommon these days, and we really appreciate it. We’ll definitely book again next year.

I liked being a little away from the busy town center, where nights can get disruptive, though it is a bit farther from the Camino de Santiago. The hotel is on the edge of a small city or large town of 14,000, and shops, restaurants, ATMs, pharmacies, plazas, and walking trails are all within walking distance. It worked well for seeing and doing things in Estella. The room was clean and matched the booking description. For anyone used to American hotels, there’s no microwave, coffee pot, or mini fridge in the room. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs with delicious food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly. After I fell and sprained my ankle, they gave me ice for free, put my gel pack in the freezer, and checked on my ankle and how I was doing each day. There’s an elevator. I don’t think the rooms would count as handicap accessible, but I found it easy to get in and out of the walk-in shower and move around the room.

My husband and I stayed here on the 24th April while walking the Camino De Santiago. We had a nice stay. The room was clean and pleasant, the breakfast was great, and there was a seating area with vending machines.

It was a little hard to find, but the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bar was excellent. The internet was very spotty, though still usable.

A real find for a two-star hotel, with a great atmosphere in the bar and really helpful staff. They made our short stay in Estella perfect. Top hotel, and the price matched.
