Pedro I de Aragon 4*S

I stayed one night in May while driving back to the UK. The room was very clean and furnished to a high standard. I had dinner at the hotel in the area beside the bar, and the drinks were especially good value. I’d booked half board, and there was some confusion about how to handle that when I finished eating. The staff were all pleasant, though, and of the seven hotels I used on the trip, this was one of the best. I parked on the street in front.

Travelling on my own, I was lucky to get their last single room. It had all the amenities I needed, and was very clean. The bed was comfy, though I’d have liked softer pillows. There were two pillow options. In 40 days of travel, this was easily the best single room I’d stayed in, and at a very reasonable price. Well done! It’s hard to give five stars when there’s always room to improve.

The staff were great. The door stop right in front of the toilet was strange and a bit dangerous, especially on a nighttime trip to the bathroom. I sat on the chesterfield and found one of its legs was broken. We let the cleaning staff know.

Our room was spacious, with a fabulous balcony overlooking the town. It’s dog-friendly and opposite a park, and there’s a busy bar serving tapas. The restaurant food was good, but there was absolutely no atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it, with one small gripe: there were tea bags in the room, but no coffee sachets.
