We spent an unforgettable week here. The bedroom was calm, with fresh air and soothing sounds from the pond, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The villa itself was bright, elegant, spacious and spotless, with lovely local touches. It felt like home. Outside, we loved the two exits to the loungers, hammock and little coffee spot. The bathroom exit leads to a covered sauna, pool and koi pond, with a peaceful place to sit by the water and have tea. The pool was great for morning swims and lazy afternoons, and the clean, cozy sauna, with its own shower and toilet, became part of our evening routine. There was private parking at the villa, and check-in was easy and contactless. The grounds were lush, with magical sunsets every evening. The location is handy for town, on the shaded north side, surrounded by greenery and cool, fresh air. Klaus was always just a message away and took wonderful care of us. He even arranged a special whale-watching yacht trip for four. Our English is limited, but his patience and humor made everything easy. This is more than a place to stay, and we can't wait to return. Thank you, Klaus, for the warmth, comfort and care! 😊

There were six of us, and we all had room to relax in this lovely spot with great views and its own microclimate. The pool, hot tub and sauna were a real treat. Klaus checked in to see how we were doing and was really helpful with suggestions for places to visit. Highly recommend.

El Refugio was such a calm place to come back to after exploring Tenerife. We loved the garden, the pool and sauna, and waking up to views of the ocean and Mount Teide. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable, and felt like home for our family. The location worked so well for visiting the island's botanical gardens, historical towns, volcanic landscapes and all the great places to eat. It's away from the crowded resorts on the south coast, too. Sabrina and Klaus shared lots of helpful local tips, and the owners were wonderfully kind and welcoming when we met them. This place really is a refuge for relaxing. You won't regret staying here, and might end up writing a review like this one!

Klaus, the manager, is on the property every day and was always available, with lots of recommendations. He was also a big help with what we needed for the baby, including laundry, cribs and a blender. The place is amazing and everything was organized impeccably. We arrived to cheese, ham and wine, plus basic cooking ingredients and a fully stocked kitchen, much more than you usually get in an Airbnb.
