The beachside location was a real plus, close to the carnival stage, and our bed was comfortable. Even during carnival weekend, our room stayed fairly quiet. But we wouldn't stay at Hotel LIVVO La Escarlata again. We were there at the end of February 2026, and despite buying breakfast with the room, we couldn't eat it: no butter for the bread, cold eggs, no fresh vegetables, and a 10-meter queue for the coffee machine. The dining room was tiny, crowded, and noisy. We left without eating, and although reception said we'd get a breakfast refund after I raised it, it never came. The room initially looked nice, but it wasn't very clean and needed a few repairs. Its window faced the corridor, so there was no outdoor view. The safe was locked when we arrived, though it should have been open, and we had to ask reception to send someone to unlock it.
The reception staff were easily the best part, so kind and sweet. The location is also great, right by the beach and in the heart of Las Palmas. The rooms were clean and neat, but ours faced the inner courtyard, where morning activity made it hard to sleep with the window open. There was water damage on the bathroom floorboards, and a strange smell in the room. Breakfast was horrible. The staff serving it were rude, eggs were missing one day, and another day they ended breakfast too early. For the money, I'd skip it and eat at a local place instead. If you get a good offer and won't spend much time at the hotel, the location might make it worth considering.
Just a few steps from the beach, and clean, with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms felt very small, though, and there wasn't much in them: a TV, fridge, and Nespresso machine, but no kettle or utensils. For what's provided, I found the price high compared with other 4-star hotels nearby. I hope management considers pricing that better reflects the value.
The kind, friendly hostel staff made for a welcoming stay, and the bedroom was clean with a comfortable bed. But at this price, it didn't feel up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. The TV had no signal, and neither the rooftop terrace nor the jacuzzi was available. The room had no kettle or tea. Even the basics for the Nespresso machine were missing: no capsules, sugar, milk, or spoon, despite our asking reception. The website also promised bathrobes and slippers, but there were none in the room, just towels. Staff said the hotel had opened only a week earlier, but that didn't make up for the missing or unusable amenities. It wasn't worth the cost.
The price didn't feel justified: it was really noisy, and breakfast was awful.
