TERRIBLE, DO NOT RECOMMEND! I was robbed in my room. After a confusing self check-in, with the codes buried among lots of useless automated messages in spam, we reached the room and found no air conditioning remote and no safe key. I called the number listed for 24-hour support twice. They never answered, replied, or called back. After dinner on our first night, I checked the coin purse I’d left at the hotel because I worried about being robbed in crowded areas and usually pay by phone. It was completely empty. All the cash was gone, along with my debit card and driver’s license. I cancelled the card right away, but someone still made 30 euros’ worth of purchases at stores in Madrid that I can’t identify. That was the daily limit I’d set for contactless payments. My friend’s iPad was stolen too. They didn’t answer when I called again, so I messaged them. They sent an indifferent apology and made no real effort to help. They even questioned whether we’d brought the hotel cards and the iPad, saying nobody could have entered. There were no signs of forced entry, which makes me think only someone with a master key could have got into the room. Paying less for a hotel isn’t worth it if you end up losing absurd amounts of money. Do not stay here.

The air conditioner was really loud and then started dripping water. When I contacted the staff, they said I had to empty a jug on the terrace that catches its water. Shouldn’t they have emptied it before handing over the room? Check-in was a nightmare too. All the instructions they sent were in Spanish. I specifically asked for an English version, but they just sent the Spanish one again. At the machine, we were first in line but struggled to enter the information. I let the woman behind us go ahead, and she struggled too. We all ended up trying to solve it like a puzzle together. I don’t recommend this place.

Good value for a great central location. The room was clean and had plenty of storage, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked really well. The only awkward bit was the tight space around the toilet, you had to do gymnastics. I’d definitely stay again.

The check-in system didn’t work and there was no staff around. This is the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. It felt like management just wanted to take the money and didn’t care for guests. Very bad hotel and bad management.
