E-kilibrio Hotel & Apart-Suites

I paid in full for a stay from 27.04 to 01.05, but when we arrived there was loud construction noise outside that made sleeping impossible. The receptionist tried to find a solution by showing us several other rooms, but they all had the same problem and couldn’t be used. She told us it was fine to cancel and that we’d get a full refund because the rooms were unusable. Afterwards, I contacted the hotel, and management refused to refund us, saying the receptionist “had no right” to promise that. Completely unacceptable. It was stressful and unprofessional, and showed a shocking lack of responsibility from management. Terrible experience. I’ll never use this hotel chain again.

The place is strange and sad, and overpriced. The building seems to have been put together without any sense, and the lift system is odd. There’s no AC, the rooms are hot, and the nearby busy four lane road makes them noisy. We booked a double bed and sofa for two adults and a small child, then had to pay an extra 50 euros for an extra pillow and sheets. Parking was 20 euro. Keep away.

The room was clean, and reception staff were friendly. But we got no sleep at all because the sound insulation was poor and traffic on the main street went on all night.

The rooms had good lighting, but the lift was small and confusingly numbered. It didn’t have enough capacity, so some people had to carry their luggage up. Shops and pubs nearby shut very early. There were no instructions for the coffee pot, so we couldn’t enjoy the coffee that had been left for us.
