Hotel Madrid Centro Affiliated by Meliá

The front desk staff were efficient and businesslike, though not particularly friendly. I found parking lots nearby convenient, but they cost extra. It’s well located and worked well for a one-night stay. I’d recommend it overall.

Nothing really bad to say about the stay. The staff were nice, breakfast was decent, and the location is perfect. I’d recommend it for people who don’t spend much time in their hotel during a trip.

The location was the one thing that made this stay somewhat worthwhile. Right in the center of Madrid on Gran Vía, it was easy to walk or take the metro or bus elsewhere. The front desk service was good too. But for the price per night, I expected more, especially from a Meliá hotel, and left disappointed. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The room was in very poor condition, with broken curtains, dim lighting, dust in several places, and no minibar service. The bathroom was small and not clean. Noise was constant and loud: I could hear outside, people talking in other rooms, fights, and kids running in the hallways. The whole building had just two elevators. They were small and seemed old and poorly maintained, and their doors slammed so loudly that I could hear them from my room.

The friendly staff are what would bring me back. Elena was amazing! The hotel itself was great too, and the location was great. I recommend it 100%.
