We stayed in a modern, spotless room with gold-themed decor and a sweet little balcony over the pedestrian street. The staff were welcoming and helpful the whole time. Breakfast had a nice range, though vegetarians might want more options. Preciados Hotel is also very handy for getting around. Most major Madrid sights are an easy walk, and the free 001 bus and nearby metro stations are convenient. There are excellent restaurants just a few minutes away, which made the area even more enjoyable.

The restaurant was a nice part of our stay, with good food in a pleasant setting. The hotel is stylish and well looked after, and the staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout. Check-in was quick and efficient after our journey, which we appreciated. Breakfast was decent, but could use more variety and better quality. A small improvement there would make this a great hotel in every way. We had a very good stay and would happily recommend it.

The penthouse terrace was a real highlight. It was spacious, clean, and quiet. Breakfast, on the other hand, was terrible and overpriced, so I strongly recommend skipping it. Customer service was very poor too. Staff were unfriendly and didn't follow through on several requests, including arranging a taxi for us.

The minibar was free, and the rooms were clean and modern. It's about a two-minute walk from the center of grand via. We did have some ants in our room, which is the only reason I'm not giving it five stars.

For our first visit to Spain, this was a superb hotel. The room was comfortable and well equipped, with a little complimentary minibar stocked with beer and seltzers. I'd definitely say the patio room is worth it.
