Madrid Centro-Museo Reina Sofía-Atocha

I misplaced a gift while checking out and couldn't get it back. The staff could have communicated better about lost and found.

The staff really stood out. They were incredibly accommodating and happily moved my friends to an all-female room because we'd feel more comfortable there than in a mixed dorm. I also left a few things behind, and they were super nice about helping me look for 10 minutes when I came back. The sheets were clean, and having a locked locker for my belongings was useful. It's a great price for this location. Thanks to the staff, they're doing a great job!

The location and reasonable price worked for me, and the room was acceptable with a clean-enough bathroom. I only stayed one night, so it was fine, though people talking on their phones late at night made it uncomfortable. There’s a kitchen for putting together simple meals, but no stove, and the lack of shared spaces also felt a bit awkward.

The shared areas didn’t feel very inviting, and the kitchen was limited to plates, a sink, and a microwave, with no way to cook. In the bathrooms, there were no mats after the shower, so the floors were often puddly. A few small changes in the rooms could help with privacy: the bunks had no curtains, and there was no sheet, just a thick blanket that was too warm and uncomfortable.
