Petit Palace Triball Hotel

The location for the price is hard to beat, right on Gran Via avenue and across from the famous primark. The entrance door had to be authorized from inside before it would open, which made us feel more secure. The reception was cute and smelled lovely the whole time. Staff were always smiling, sweet, and ready to help, and even gave us sweats and goods to thank us for staying. Our room was really big and very clean, with lots of natural light and a super comfortable bed. The shower was good too, though I'd bring a hair dryer because it takes a long time. Breakfast was complete, with fresh warm bread every morning. We had a very positive stay and nothing bad to say. I wouldn't rate it a 3star hotel!

We changed rooms three times in four nights because the rooms smelled bad. When a maintenance guy came to fix the hair dryer, he later left our door wide open. There were other problems too: broken walls, a shower door that wouldn't close, and no espresso machine or kettle in the room, which seem pretty basic these days. The rooms were noisy, with street sounds and other guests on our floor carrying through. Breakfast wasn't worth 14€ per person. The hotel needs to maintain things better. Not recommended, and we won't come back.

Everything was clean and cozy, with good service, and the hotel is close to everything in Madrid. At first we thought there'd been a mix-up because our room was in the annex, near some slightly awkward stairs. It turned out to be an upgrade, though, with a spectacular view. We had a good stay at Petit Palace Triball.

The staff were really kind and helpful, and the location is 10/10 if you're after Gran Via, Uniqlo, and Primark. But the hotel feels worn out. There was limescale all over the bathroom, the doors were misaligned and didn't block noise, and the towels seemed overused. The blackout curtains didn't keep out the light from the adjacent store, so at 2 am it felt like morning.
