Homeart Apartments Malaga

We loved the apartment’s big, beautiful doors and balcony. It was clean, nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful, and the location is brilliant, right on the pretty plaza with Picasso’s museum and statue and plenty of busy restaurants. With the doors or windows open, city noise comes with the central location, so light sleepers might want earplugs. Brunchit across the road was AMAZING. We also enjoyed walking south up to the lovely castle gardens, then through the old town’s winding streets for the cathedral, shops, bodegas, and beautiful architecture. For vegans and veggies, we recommend Meet Vegano and Yummy heladeria!

The apartment was a great base for exploring, close to the beach and with a pleasant view of the Plaza. It’s very spacious, so a large family or group could fit comfortably, and everything was clean and in good shape. We liked the stocked kitchen and Nespresso machine, which made cooking and morning coffee easy. We stayed two nights, and the main drawback was the noise from a nearby bar. We could hear loud conversations and cars at night, which kept us awake a little. Opening the windows for fresh air was nice, but the noise may bother anyone looking for a quiet place.

The location is the one real plus: it’s about 3 minutes to the old town and 15 minutes to the beach. But check the apartment layout and Booking photos carefully. Apartments on the first, second, and third floors face a very noisy street and have balconies. Units 101, 102, 201, 202 and higher look toward the neighboring building’s windows, the street, and people standing below. Sleeping without earplugs is almost impossible, and opening a window at night is out of the question. It’s the noisiest place I’ve stayed. The Booking pictures are cleverly framed so you can’t see the window view, and that feels misleading.

There are loads of restaurants nearby, and there’s a parking garage if you’re driving. The apartment is very nice and right in the center of Malaga, equipped with all the basics for a short city break.
