LD Convento Cister

A small hotel with six bedrooms on a quiet side street, away from the bustle. It was clean, compact, and comfortable, and good value.

I loved the shower room design, and the room itself was gorgeous and well equipped. The building's age comes through in a nice way, even though the rooms feel modern. The location is unbeatable. Entry is by code, so checking in and out was hassle-free, and there’s a little lounge with tea, coffee, pastries, and biscuits.

Antonio at the front desk deserves a special mention for being so welcoming. We’ve just left after a family stay, and the place went beyond what I expected. It’s right in the center, making it easy to head out to bars, restaurants, and sights, then come and go. 10/10, we’ll be back soon!

The main drawback for me was the lack of soundproofing. Even from the second floor, I could hear every conversation outside, almost as if someone were in the room. I knew I was choosing a central spot, but I’ve stayed in two places in the Historical Centre and this was much noisier. Otherwise, it’s good value and a nice base. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the lobby was clean and nicely presented. Check-in by door code was easy and went smoothly. There isn’t much to eat at the property, as the listing says, but there are plenty of options nearby. You can walk to just about everywhere.
