Residencia Universitaria Resa Málaga Centro

A very clean, comfortable room close to the old town. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Malaga and want a budget-friendly place to stay.

I found ants under the wardrobe in the morning, and that’s why I’m giving this just two stars. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, quite spacious and nicely equipped for a quick stop, with shampoo, hand soap, towels, sheets and even a fridge. The bed was comfy, too. Staff were very helpful. I arrived late, but because I’d checked in online, everything was ready and I could go straight to my room. I was only there for one night, so I can’t say much about the common rooms. It’s easy enough to find and not far from the city centre or airport.

The reception team were friendly and helpful, which made a difference. My room was average, clean enough for a short stay but in need of better maintenance. Resa Málaga Centro is a solid budget option in a prime spot, right in the heart of the city with everything close by. It’s fair for what you pay, as long as you’re not expecting luxury.

For me, the main things to fix are the smoking in the kitchen and the mess people leave behind. It’s frustrating trying to cook or eat around cigarette smoke, and people should have to leave the kitchen clean for the next person. Aside from that, this residence is excellent, much better than any other I’ve stayed in in Madrid. The facilities are modern and comfortable, and the staff are excellent, capable and always ready to help.
