Marina Bayview - Adults Only

Dinner was easy, with loads of really good restaurants nearby, but breakfast and lunch were only average for the price. The stay was nice, though it could have been much better. Staff know about the problems but say they can't do anything, so it seems higher management doesn't see the effect of putting style ahead of comfort. We'll look at another hotel next time. The pool was nice, but the sunbeds were crowded. People ignored the no-reserving rule, leaving towels on beds by 8. There was a lifeguard and a notice about reserved beds after 9, but still nothing had been done by 10 or 11. The sun shades were fixed in place, and the split levels meant they often didn't shade the loungers. Most guests used the pool area instead of the uncomfortable designer beds on the balconies. The hotel has some needless design choices. The living room curtains made that room really dark, but two basic bedroom blinds let in light in six bright strips, so the bedroom never got dark. The terrace had space for outdoor dining and loungers, but the stylish designer pieces were useless and uncomfortable. They say they're green, but every apartment has an outside light that comes on at dusk and stays on all night, with no switch. It leaks around those blinds, so there was no chance of stargazing. With so many flat roofs and so much sun, not having solar panels seemed like an easy missed opportunity.

We’ve finished our stay, and the great experience continued right through to the end. We had a minor issue, but Anton emailed me and sorted it out superbly, which is all we could ask. The pool food and drinks were tasty, and the cleaners were super friendly and helpful. We loved it here. The views and location were fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. Our room was beautiful, with great facilities including a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, restaurant, pool, and chill out areas. There are plenty of steps if you want to walk around the resort or head out, but taxis are just as easy. We were already loving it two days into our stay at Marina bayview.

The views were gorgeous, and the hotel was so peaceful. It looked stunning from the Marina and just as impressive up close. Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar was reasonably priced, and the on-site shop was handy for water, wine, and snacks. We'd happily come back. My friend and I stayed at Marina Bayview in September and were upgraded to a deluxe room. It was spotless, spacious, and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed. A small problem with the balcony light was fixed within 20 minutes of our call to reception. There were a few little snags. Our room was up a couple of flights of stairs, a bit of a trek after the roughly 130 steps up from the Marina or beach. There is a lift between reception and the pool. The hotel says guests shouldn't reserve loungers with towels, but that rule wasn't enforced. We were also a little disappointed there was no entertainment on Saturday night, especially after smelling the Friday BBQ.

The pool area was clean and lovely, with amazing views across the marina and sea. My only criticism is that people ignored the no-smoking signs and smoked or vaped there. To reach local bars and restaurants, you'll need to tackle some stairs, though taxis are cheap if you can't manage them. We had a lovely week and would definitely recommend staying here. On arrival, reception was friendly and helpful. We got there before the 3 pm check-in, so we had time for lunch at the pool bar. The food was lovely, well cooked, and served hot. Our room and balcony impressed us with their size, and the facilities were as described. A small window issue was fixed by maintenance within ten minutes of us reporting it.
