The spa policies were poorly explained, and the hotel felt in poor condition. We wouldn't return, especially given the price. Spa access was limited to one included session for adults. Children were charged €30 for a two-hour session, and each additional visit also cost €30, so three visits would come to €90. That wasn't made clear when we booked. The pool water was below body temperature, around 36°C and colder than my gym pool. People were shivering and crowding near the warm-water outlets. Although our session lasted two hours, I could only stay in the water for one because it was so cold. Our room was cold despite staff checking the heating and saying it worked properly. We couldn't take off our jackets, and our four-year-old was uncomfortable and couldn't play. They brought a portable heater, which we left on overnight and through the next day, but the room still didn't get warm. The bed had two sheets and no duvet, more like summer bedding than winter bedding. When I asked for a duvet, staff laughed and said they only had very old blankets. The blanket was dusty and irritated my husband's nose. There were spider webs and visible mould in the room and bathroom, and the bathroom heater was rusty. The room itself was old and poorly maintained, with deeply scratched wooden floors, swollen skirting boards pulling away from the walls, and mirrors with black spots where the reflective coating was peeling. Staff weren't rude, but they weren't especially welcoming either. The receptionist didn't speak English, which made it hard to explain problems. Breakfast was acceptable but offered little choice. The breakfast area was understaffed, and the staff looked overwhelmed. I had to ask three times before I got gluten-free food.

So many facilities to enjoy, and two hours wasn't enough to try them all. Such a great experience, I'll be back!

The buffet was average, and there weren't enough coffee machines for the crowds. The jacuzzis were cold too. It's in the middle of nowhere, and the hotel feels tired and badly in need of renovation.

The area is beautiful, and the Palacio del Agua was a lot of fun, but even there things weren't clean. One steam room smelled like excrement. The Celtic circuit spa felt like a cattle market, with people rushed through the treatments. The water was filthy and disgusting, the smell was vile, and we were freezing the whole time. I broke out in a rash all over afterward. There was black mould in the bedroom and graffiti on the walls. The bed had no proper blankets, the lifts didn't work properly, and I had to pry a door open with my hands to get out. The staff were absolutely miserable. They are absolutely robbing people. What a shame, because it could be spectacular. I felt really sorry for the people checking in as we were leaving.

The spa is very good, and the forest and river around it make for beautiful surroundings. I came to use the spa, but the hotel was a big disappointment. The food was pretty awful and expensive, even more so than in the City of Santiago. The rooms were bare, with hardly any facilities beyond the minimum. There was little choice of restaurants, with only two open.
