For nearly €5,000 for two weeks, I expected better comfort and furnishings, especially in the kitchen. The place sleeps up to 10, but there are only three bathrooms, and one is so tiny that even two people can hardly stand inside. The furnishings feel dated. It’s also noisy. From upstairs, the road sounds loud, and there’s a steady chorus of barking dogs, crowing roosters, and other animals both upstairs and downstairs. The caretaker, on the other hand, is very helpful and replaces broken things as quickly as possible. The gardener visits once a week, and during that visit you shouldn’t be there because the showers and other water services won’t work.
