Albergue Pensión Flavia

There was a lift, and a bar and restaurant right next door, which was useful when we were tired or hungry. The town centre was about a 10 minute walk away. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, with a lovely view across the city. It was just the right size for two pilgrims, and the slightly small private bathroom was still fine. A quiet place, and the beds were very comfortable.

BEDBUGS!!! I was bitten 6 times, so we couldn't stay the second night of our booking. We had no problems at any other hotel on the way to Santiago, and the hotel before this one had been extremely clean. We changed rooms after the first bites, but were bitten again in the second room. The owner blamed us for bringing the bedbugs, then offered a third room, which didn't make sense if she thought we were the problem. We left after one night. She wouldn't help with money to rewash and dry our belongings. The most awful Hostel for any pilgrim in Padrón! PS: The owner replying below wasn't there during our stay. Her comment shows a lack of knowledge. We had just two backpacks, since there were two of us walking to Santiago. Bringing 4 "mochilas" makes no sense. She really is a liar.

The clean beds were handy, and staying there was convenient. But when we arrived, the woman said she had no record of our phone booking. We also weren't told in advance that cooking wasn't allowed, so we'd already bought food to cook. We didn't get a tour either. The welcome wasn't as warm as at other albergues, though maybe it was because this one was in a city, I'm not sure.

The room was grubby and the bathroom smelled really bad. There was no staff around, and no one answered the phone.
