Apartahotel Fil Suites

The building looked attractive from outside, but the area around it made us feel so uncomfortable that we decided to stay elsewhere. The nearby plaza seemed unsafe and unpleasant, with heavy drinking, drug use, and prostitution. It was disappointing, since the property itself looked nice. I hope the hotel management or local authorities address what’s happening nearby, because it affects how visitors experience the place.

The hotel itself had a pleasant atmosphere and nice amenities, which is why its reputation and reviews appealed to us. The check-in, though, was disappointing. There was just one receptionist, an older woman who seemed to struggle with several things at once. We waited around 15-20 minutes for an extra key, and she spoke rudely to us, telling us to keep our voices down and leaving us feeling unwelcome. For a hotel of this standard, I hadn’t expected that. Hopefully the front desk service improves.

The concierge was lovely and so helpful, even keeping our bags for us after checkout. Fil Suites was charming and clean throughout, from the lobby to our room. It’s in a great part of the city, with lots of nice little shops and restaurants an easy walk away. I can’t think of a better place for our Palma stay and would definitely come back.

We felt right at home at Fil Suites. The space was beautiful, the staff welcoming, and the location put us in the middle of Palma with easy access to everything. We’ll book here again next time we visit.
