The staff were so kind that they almost seemed apologetic, and I do want to thank them for that. But this hotel is absolutely not five-star, four-star at best. We had to switch rooms three times during our 12-night stay, and the place was full of noise. At €400 a night, it's not worth it. Take photos of the room type you booked and keep your invoice, because they may put you in a shabby room with a similar feel. Our first room was duplex room 111 on the first floor. The hotel is old and the rooms are poorly managed. It was damp and smelled strongly of old dust, and the curtains looked as if they hadn't been washed for a long time. Anyone with respiratory problems should avoid it. My husband had surgery for laryngeal cancer and ended up coughing up yellow phlegm and going to the hospital. The emergency room cost €521. The chairs were also extremely uncomfortable. With the windows open, the noise was awful. There was drilling at the building next door, loud from morning until night, along with people's voices and singing. Food smells drifted up too. On weekends, the hotel's bar on the lower floor played club music with heavy bass from 8 PM. The hotel itself had no soundproofing, so we could hear everyone walking past our room. The day after we checked in, construction noise from inside the hotel was agonizing too. A party of 20 to 30 people was right outside our door, blasting music so loudly it felt like our ears would fall off. When we said we were checking out, they finally gave us a quiet room. What a nightmare.

Our booking at the Puro Grand Hotel couldn't be accommodated because it was fully booked, so they upgraded us to Palacio Can Marqués, just around the corner. It felt like being in heaven. The staff walked us over and then looked after us with such personal, attentive care. Everything was flawless, in a way you don't seem to find much anymore. Our room was stunning, immaculate, and full of its own character. Every room in the palace is individual. We didn't have breakfast or other food there, so I can't comment on that. But it's so centrally located that it would be a shame not to get out and enjoy Palma.

The team made my birthday a very happy one, and I'm grateful to them. Reception was excellent, especially Davison, and the breakfast was a treat. The staff made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. There are loads of cozy places to relax, including a great outdoor space with stunning views over Palma. The location is spot on for exploring, with cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, and culture close by. This luxury hotel exceeded my expectations.

I paid over 300 euros and my honeymoon was completely ruined. This was the worst experience of my life, and it's 100% true. I've never had a room downgraded before. They gave me a completely different room from the one I'd reserved, in the semi-basement, with the bathroom in the basement. There was no information about that in the listing. The air felt murky, there was no light at all, and the windows couldn't be opened. I complained to the front desk right away, but the staff member just told me to pay more. It took over two hours to get the room shown in the picture I had booked. It felt like racism. Puro hotel is literally cheating its customers. This is the first time I've ever written a complaint.

The breakfast was 10/10, with loads of choice, huge portions, and everything cooked exceptionally well. The staff were 12/10 too, especially Natalia at reception. They set up a direct WhatsApp link and were so kind and helpful, arranging everything from car hire to taxes. Our room, number 17, was amazing and had a small terrace. You can use the Hamman and sauna in another building just across the road, and you also get access to an exceptional beach club. Every part of this outstanding hotel felt elite. Can't wait to return.
