Coral Teide Mar

There are parking spaces around the neighborhood, though sometimes it takes a while of driving around before you find one. The restaurants and bars nearby are lovely. We liked that the hotel sits uphill, away from the tourist bustle around the beach and city centre. The pool and garden are amazing. The rooms are pleasant for the low price, but unfortunately there were cockroaches, especially in the kitchenette. Breakfast was good overall, though the hot dishes like scrambled eggs were always cold, and the coffee wasn't good.

It has the feel of an old building, but cleanliness is good. The cleaners work five days out of seven, and the towels and bedding are changed every three or four days. The room has excellent facilities, everything needed for basic cooking, plus shampoo and soap.

There's a club across from the hotel that often plays loud music, and the noise comes in when you sleep with the windows open in the warm weather. It didn't bother us too much, but keep it in mind if you're sensitive to noise. Apart from that, I look forward to returning. My boyfriend and I spent eleven days here in October, and it was just what we wanted: a simple but luxurious-feeling base. Our studio had spacious beds, a kitchenette with a fridge, and a balcony with lovely views of the ocean and mountains. The area is somewhat touristy, but the hotel is right on a bus route, so getting around the island is quick. We also liked taking the bus and watching the scenery on the way to new places. The pool was cool and roomier than expected, and the garden was well maintained. Staff were professional, friendly, service-minded, and neat. The room was tidied daily. Breakfast was a great start to the day, except for the coffee, which was less good.

For the extra fee, a pool-view room seems worth it. The balcony looks out on the tropical garden, pool, and Teide. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was nice. The pool is clean and fun, even if a few tiles are missing and it looks a little broken. Given the low price, it's a great hotel. The rooms are basic, with furniture and a renovation that look like they're from the 90s, but they do the job.
