Arena Surf Hotel

An inexpensive place to stay, though breakfast options are pretty limited.

There’s plenty around here to keep you busy on holiday, and the surfing was well organized. The instructors knew their stuff and were helpful. Service at the hotel was good too, and they can easily sort out cleaning supplies if you need them. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds. We had meals included, but I didn’t find the food tasty. The barbecue meat wasn’t cooked properly, and it felt like little time went into preparing the food.

We aren’t surfers, and we’d only booked one night in August because there were no other options in Santander. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room and bathroom were, and the bed was comfortable. The woman on the phone was nice, and the receptionist was very friendly. We’ll definitely return.

The place is quiet and spacious, and the staff are really friendly. It’s a good spot for staying and surfing. The bed was pretty average, which was disappointing after a day of walking and surfing. There’s also no guest fridge, so you can’t keep food or water cold. A real shame.
