Room 305 had a balcony where we could sit and enjoy superb views of Puente Nuevo during our two-night stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great, and reception was helpful. The hotel and room were fine, though they could really use an update. Getting to the room meant going down to the basement along a dark corridor, then back up another set of stairs or taking the lift. The room felt very bare, with simple furniture and none of the extra comforts: no coffee-making facilities or complimentary water. We didn't eat here, so I can't comment on the food.

I rarely leave a negative review, but I feel I need to share this. I stayed at Hotel Don Miguel in Ronda in January 2026. The location, right beside the famous bridge and facing the canyon, is excellent and likely why many people choose it. But we were put in another building across the street, which was less convenient and didn't have the same appeal as the main building. We stopped briefly in front to unload our luggage. Several parking spots were empty and no other cars were waiting, yet the front desk clerk kept telling us to move our car. It felt unnecessary and unfriendly. When we asked for the Wi-Fi password, the staff member seemed impatient and somewhat rude. We later went to the hotel restaurant. It was quite dark and smelled unpleasant. When we asked for a table with a bridge view, one of the servers suddenly shouted at us in Spanish for no reason. We were confused and decided not to eat there. The staff came across as disengaged and not genuinely interested in guests. The service felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, and it sadly affected our trip. Communication in English was also limited. I love Ronda, but despite the excellent location, I'd never stay here again.

We were right in the heart of Ronda, about a 15 minute walk from the train or bus station. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Our terrace room looked out at Puente Nuevo, and the view was even better than we'd hoped. Both rooms were clean and generally large compared with our experience in European hotels. The front desk helped us book a taxi, answered our general questions about Ronda, and arranged a new room when we decided to extend our stay. The only thing we missed was a fridge in the room.

The restaurant has a magnificent view for a meal or a drink, and the location is superb, right next to the bridge with easy access. If you book, ask for a room with a gorge view; it's worth it. Ours was caged up, though we saw some rooms that weren't. The hotel is over 30 years old, so the rooms and furniture feel dated. The wardrobe and doors are pretty run down. The bathroom was clean but smelled, so I used my lavender sachet to keep the odour away. Hot water took a while and wasn't very hot. Not fantastic, but doable for one night.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. RACISM AND VERBAL ABUSE HAVE NO PLACE IN HOSPITALITY, OR ANYWHERE. A female staff member, Marlene, shouted at my husband in Spanish, even though he had simply asked in Spanish where the elevator was. She used openly racist insults that targeted Koreans and Chinese people. We aren't fluent in Spanish, but understand enough to know her words were extremely offensive, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. This happened just because we'd taken a few photos of the Puente Nuevo. We'd planned to go up to our room and then come back down for a drink. Instead, without knowing anything, she treated us like beggars. Later, when my husband asked to speak with management, a drunken man came out and yelled at him in Spanish without listening. No matter how cheap or conveniently located this place is, don't stay here. Don't let it ruin your trip.
