The owner was very kind and let us leave after lunch on Sunday, which is almost never possible. The final short walk down to the house takes about two minutes and is very steep, so a low-clearance car might struggle. A 4x4 is probably best, and there are some beautiful scenic routes nearby. Everything worked out excellently for our group of 15, who stayed for a November weekend. It’s a huge, clean, well-kept house with everything we needed. The owner advised us to bring bathroom towels. The spacious patio has plenty of tables and chairs for eating outdoors, and all the bedrooms are large. The house is split into two parts around a central patio with the pool, barbecue, and bathroom, so we could use those without going indoors. That layout suited us well: two young couples had their own bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, separate from the rest of us in case they wanted to keep partying. Below their rooms was a kitchen and a large living room with a foosball table, which was a real bonus. The other section had a large, well-equipped kitchen, a big living room, five bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and two more bathrooms. There was also a pellet stove that the owner had left lit when we arrived, plus a living room fireplace that we didn’t need because the stove was enough.
