The gardens are very well cared for, and there are quaker parrots nesting around the compound, which is a nice bonus if you like parrots. The bungalows are spacious, with separate kitchens and a small space off the kitchen for drying clothes. There’s a huge U-shaped pool, tennis courts, and crazy golf. The food is pretty good, and the staff are super friendly. It’s also well placed for the Yumbo and plenty of restaurants. I’m coming back for Christmas 27/28. I’d have booked again next year, but I’ve already made plans elsewhere.

We spent a week here over Christmas, when the place was full, but we weren’t disturbed at night once, unlike in hotels. The location is close to lots of places to eat and drink, so we didn’t use the bar or snack bar. From what we saw, the food looked good. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels were changed, and the pools were immaculate. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and the grounds were maintained to a very high standard. I’d absolutely recommend it as a holiday destination.

When we arrived on September 1, the patio garden was covered in bird droppings. The furniture, floor, and walls were all affected. We were exhausted after our flight and didn’t complain right away, but after 48 hours we raised it, with photos showing what we were dealing with every day. We’d hoped to have breakfast and spend a few evenings relaxing on our patio, but that wasn’t possible. The sprinklers also flooded a corner of the patio nightly. Since it slopes into that corner with nowhere for water to drain, a huge puddle formed by the door and we had to wade through it to get outside. My wife eventually had an accident because of it. Some mornings there were bugs and cockroaches floating in the water. I spent a lot of the holiday washing the patio with cleaning products, a mop, and brooms. That’s not what I expected to be doing on such an important trip. Reception said they couldn’t move us and offered breakfast, but we didn’t want that. We wanted to self-cater and have coffee in our own space. They said nothing could be done about moving us. We asked for the patio to be washed every day and were told it would be, but it happened only on a few days, with other days missed. The hotel later claimed it had been cleaned daily, sometimes twice a day. That is completely untrue. They cleaned it four times in total, and I cleaned it myself every single day with the room’s mop and bucket. After we complained, maintenance staff cut down eight branches, but that didn’t help. One evening, my wife got ready for a restaurant, went onto the patio, and got bird droppings on her. She had to shower again and hand-wash her new dress in the sink. We were late for dinner and the evening was ruined. Another afternoon she went to get a mop, slipped in the water outside, fell backward, and bruised her elbow. Every day I was either cleaning the patio myself or hoping someone else would. Even the cleaning lady said it was unusable. We just wanted to be away from the bungalow, when what we really wanted was to enjoy meals and relax there. We’re terribly disappointed. My wife came home in tears, feeling the holiday had been ruined. It was very important to us, and I spent a large part of it cleaning. We couldn’t enjoy the stay. We were simply told we couldn’t change rooms. Is it acceptable to expect guests to holiday with the patio covered in bird droppings, not just a little but everywhere? The hotel’s response to our complaint has been lies. They claimed we didn’t complain and wrote, “no record of you contacting their emergency team for timely assistance.” We complained to reception, so how else would they have told us they wouldn’t move us? They also said the patio is a natural garden where birds and insects are normal. I’d ask anyone considering this place whether the condition shown in the photos is acceptable, or whether that was really what they’d call normal every day. The hotel’s response has basically been “tough luck, case closed,” along with lies. We won’t let this go. If you’re considering Playa del Ingles, I’d look elsewhere. There are much nicer places to stay.

The pool area was amazing, and the rooms were large and really clean. The beach is about a 10-minute walk, with a supermarket around 5 minutes away and Yumbo centre about 5 minutes away too. Absolutely beautiful place. I’d definitely stay here again with my family.

The bungalow was fantastic, with a good kitchen, a shower room, and a lovely garden with two sunbeds. It’s a nice size. The property has pleasant gardens, a pool, and mini golf. Breakfast was basic but okay, though it could be better. We’d definitely return.
