Ernesto, the owner, is quite a character, young, friendly, always ready with tips, and speaks pretty good Italian. The shared space is welcoming, and breakfast is included: milk and cereal, tea, coffee, bread, and jam. There’s free, fast WiFi. The apartment is on a cul-de-sac about a five-minute walk from Ondarreta Beach. It has four bedrooms, though just one has its own bathroom. Our room had no TV or air conditioning, but we didn’t miss either. We drove, and parking in the blue and green spaces cost about €4 for 24 hours. They’re around a 15-minute walk from the property, but save a lot on parking.

The room and bathroom were always clean and airy. Breakfast was well organized, with a satisfying range of choices. There was also a cozy spot where I could read a book with a good glass of wine before bed. The welcome was so friendly and helpful, including tips for exploring the city and going out into its lively Bohemian nightlife. There’s a market nearby, and the sea is close too, with long walks especially lovely at sunrise or sunset. The blue sea with green tones is beautiful, and on colder, damp days the hypnotic gray water has its own charm. It’s a great base for exploring the city on foot, and buses are available practically around the corner. I always recommend it!

I’m already planning another visit. The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were super friendly. It’s only a few meters from the beach. Definitely a great choice.

Ernesto is a very welcoming, friendly host. Breakfast is straightforward but really good, and he sees to what you need. There weren’t many other guests, so it was easy to enjoy some quiet. It’s a good hostel-style place for a few days, close to Ondarreta beach. The city center is a short walk along the Paseo de la Concha.
