You’re right in the old town among the pintxo bars, and the beach is only a 5-7 minute walk away. The shower felt tiny even for someone average or small like me. Bring earplugs, since the streets stay noisy late. In late spring or early summer, shutting the windows makes the room warm and uncomfortable. At this price, you’ll need to keep your expectations in check.

Parking takes some planning. There isn’t easy parking nearby, though the pension gives a discount at an underground garage that brings it to around 17 Euros per 24 hours. They say the nearest one, Okendo, is two minutes away, but it took us about five minutes on foot, a bit of a trek with bags. Once the car was parked, we didn’t need it again until we left. In hindsight, a place outside the old town with closer parking might have suited us better, though this place had its charms and dinner and drinks were always close. The pension is convenient at the edge of the old town, but the street can be noisy if you leave the tiny balcony door open at night for air. No air-conditioning, so bring earplugs. The rooms are pleasant and clean, if small, with a practical, minimalist modern look and nice showers. It’s a good choice, especially for younger couples travelling light.

We really liked staying here. The staff were friendly, and they had free tea and coffee. The location is very central, and paying a couple of extra euro for a balcony was definitely worth it. Great stay for the price.

The rooms are small and the bed creaks, but I’d still recommend this clean pension for its great location. The Spanish-speaking staff couldn’t have been kinder.
