Theresa, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful, and her assistant Natalia was courteous and professional. The stay felt quiet and homely. Our comfortable, good-sized room had a street-facing balcony, toiletries, and a fridge. The location is ideal, right by the old town for tapas bars and local shops, and the beach is a lovely five-minute walk away. There was plenty to see and do, and I’ll be back after my perfect two-day stay in fabulous San Sebastian.

Teresa was great. When we asked about a kettle, she brought one right away and came back with teabags too. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily with fresh towels, and the place is close to a taxi rank. You can walk to the old town, new town, and beach. I’d stay again, partly for the old building and its quirky old lift.

The rooms were a little tired, but still comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, right at the edge of the old town.

We were in San Sebastian for the first time and had a great stay. Our hosts were friendly and charming, and their recommendations for places to eat were spot on. The city really does deserve its reputation for food. The hotel is near the old town, in a building full of Spanish character, and had everything we wanted.

The pension is very clean, and the rooms were adequate. The staff were warm and welcoming, though getting prompt service can be difficult because it’s a pension. It’s extremely central, right by the old town and a short walk from the beach.
