Pensión BUENPAS

Jon was incredibly helpful, and the location was perfect, with everything walkable and calmer surroundings than the city centre. Free coffee and tea are available too. One thing to know is that guests have to carry their luggage up to the 1st floor. The lift is there, but not for guests.

The owner's personal service was exceptional. They gave us tips on excursions and places to eat every day, booked a table for us one evening, and responded quickly each time. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and our room was clean and perfect. The place and service were fantastic. We loved the quiet area, which suited us perfectly with both the beach and old town close by. Many thanks for a great stay! Jos

We loved having shops, restaurants, and BM/Eroski supermarkets nearby. The location is central, next to the Cathedral and a short stroll from the beach, with transport close by: the bus station, Renfe train station, Amara station, and E21 stops. It's a short week currently with works. Pension Buenpas was a wonderful place for my family and me. Jon was kind and attentive, communicated excellently before and during our stay, and shared great tips and recommendations. The pension itself is bright, modern, and clean. I think there are 5 rooms, with a shared bathroom for rooms 1+2 only. There's also a spot for making tea and coffee, with little cakes and so on, between 9am to 9pm. Jon's office is next to Room 5, and he's there working in the mornings. Our room 4 was quite spacious and well laid out, with 3 single beds. The modern bathroom, wardrobe area with lots of hangers, and comfortable beds all worked well for us. There was even a small desk, a small table, and a TV mounted on the wall. A wonderful base for exploring San Sebastian / Donostia and surroundings!

Jon made us feel welcome and was keen to share tips that helped us explore. We stayed four nights, and the room was clean, comfortable, and had a little balcony. The location worked really well too, near the bus station and within easy walking distance of the beach, Old Town, and the climbs at both ends of the bay.
