Hotel Antoyana

The staff were very helpful, everything worked, and breakfast was lovely for five euros. My brother, nephew and I were on a two-week motorcycle trip and needed somewhere near the ferry port before heading home. The hotel isn’t modern and feels a bit dated, but we liked its style. We’ve saved it on Google for future trips.

The room seemed clean, but it smelled musty, had old furniture, and the bed seemed to have a very old mattress. It was hot in August, with no air conditioning, and we couldn’t leave the window open because of insects. The location in Santander wasn’t too bad, but the room was so unpleasant that we couldn’t stay and had to find somewhere else in the city. I can’t say much about the service, though I suspect it wasn’t good. A terrible choice for me.

The interior is very outdated, but the hotel still has a certain magic to it. It feels like stepping back in time, and perhaps in its heyday it could have been a four-star place. We had a pleasant stay despite the flaws, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I’m glad I experienced its unique atmosphere, though I’m not sure I’ll return.
