The restaurant downstairs is worth a visit, especially for the cakes. Guests get a breakfast discount, and it opens at 8 am for guests, an hour before the public opening. We had a really pleasant stay: the staff were warm and helpful, and their food suggestions were great. The recently renovated building is charming and chic, right in Santiago’s historic district and close to the sights. We’d absolutely recommend it for a stay, a meal, or coffee.

We stayed here after finishing the el camino, and being just a few minutes from the cathedral put us right in the middle of things. One midweek night there was a live rock band about 100m away. They played some songs I knew, and the fans were clearly enjoying it. I was exhausted after walking 300km over two weeks, so I slept fine. Light sleepers might find the noise a problem, though. Buen camino!

The rooms were quiet and very clean, with AC, WIFI, and a hair dryer included. The food was delicious, and the staff spoke English. There’s no elevator, but they helped carry our luggage upstairs and called a taxi for our morning trip to the airport. Excellent location.

The staff made our stay at Hostal Suso especially lovely. They replied quickly to our questions before arrival, handled our requests once we got there, and were warm and kind throughout. The location is close to everything, the rooms were well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Our booking also came with a generous breakfast. My husband and I would happily stay again.

The cafe downstairs, which is part of the hotel, has a great atmosphere and food, and is one of the best in Santiago. The location worked perfectly for us, with the old town and new town nearby and an easy walk to the train and bus station. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a lovely stay.
