Room 33 was very quiet, with plenty of space and windows looking outside. It was super clean and comfortable, too. Getting up to the third floor was a bit of a hike, so we travel light. Staff are hard to reach because the office is open only limited hours, and phone calls are tricky if you don’t speak Spanish. Still, I’m happy to recommend it.

The city centre location is a real plus, quite close to the main square and the aqueduct. The rest was a letdown: a mediocre place with rude, unreliable staff and ridiculously high prices. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Booking.com said an extra bed for a child would cost €25, but when we arrived, the hotel said no extra bed would be provided. They still wanted us to pay €25 for the child, with no extra service. When we refused to pay for nothing, they called the police to remove us before our second night. The hotel wouldn’t return any money, but Booking.com took our side and we got the full amount back for that second night.

There’s a lovely little coffee shop just a few doors down, right on the Plaza. Its chocolate croissants are amazing, especially if you get one hot from the oven at 8:05 in the morning.

Our room was spacious, nice, and extremely clean. The location was great, and we’d stay again if we return to Segovia.
