AoA San Lorenzo Apartment

The fridge hadn’t been switched on, so we lost all our food. We only wanted the property to take responsibility, but they offered a 16 euro trip back to the airport for food worth more than 30 euro that had to be binned. The air conditioning was set at 20 to cut costs, and it has to be switched off 20 minutes before you need hot water. Staff are only available from 10:30-6:30, when you’re often out enjoying the day on holiday. It feels like keeping costs down matters more than good service. I wouldn’t recommend or return to any accommodation in the group.

The apartment is in a great spot, with good food and places for a drink just a few minutes away. It’s not right by the cathedral, which makes things quieter, but the attractions are still 20/30mins away. For what we paid, one towel for the whole six-day stay and no pool towel was disappointing. Some things also felt low quality: the bathroom cabinet wouldn’t open and close properly, and there wasn’t any empty cupboard space to store food. The Wi-Fi was the biggest annoyance. They did try to fix it, but it was very poor and didn’t work for most of our stay.

The location worked perfectly for me, close to everything I needed. I really enjoyed staying here, and it was nice to have air conditioning, housekeeping, and a pool. The contact person made a real difference: they were welcoming, helpful, easy to reach, and quick to respond, so I felt looked after throughout my stay. It can get noisy at times, but I’d happily recommend the place.

The apartments have real character, with exposed brick, and we loved the quality of the beds and soundproofing. You don’t often find walls this well insulated in Spain, and the bed was among the best we’ve had, even in luxury hotels. The location is easy to reach, and the terrace with its pool is lovely.
