Apartamento Susona

Ask for Manuel on the Sandemans free walking tour. He was a great guide, and his storytelling was out of this world. He brought us to this little street in the Jewish quarters, where Jewish settlers were massacred many times. The story of the second most important woman in Seville’s history is here: she was in love, and the tale shows the foolish things people can do for love. Her skull hangs beneath the balcony. The street was once called the calle de la muerte, or square of death, and is now known as square of Susona. They recently painted over the scribe of words of wisdom. A fascinating story that makes you love this incredible city even more.
