Apartamentos Centro Sevilla Arenal

It’s a great base for walking to most of Seville’s main sights, and the apartment is compact. But the sofa-bed sheets didn’t look clean to me, and we had to set up the double sofa bed ourselves, even though they’d been told three guests were coming. The bathroom door was too big for its frame and wouldn’t close, which was especially awkward with more than two people. Clothes left by previous guests in the closet made me question how thoroughly the place had been cleared and cleaned.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, and we had a wonderful stay overall. The suites were clean and comfortable, with a great location. It could get a little noisy when guests gathered for the flamenco show in the building, and the safe didn’t work. I’d also like a peephole in the door so you can see what’s happening in the hallway.

The location is excellent, but that was the only real positive for me. The room had a window facing a closed service courtyard, so it felt dark and unpleasant, and the bathroom was nothing like the booking photos. Cleaning was superficial, the bed was uncomfortable because it was two mattresses pushed together, and noise started early in the morning. There’s an awkward gap around checkout and luggage storage: you have to leave the room at 11:00 AM, but storage isn’t available until noon. To drop bags earlier, you must walk about 10 minutes to another location. They offer a 25% discount there, but it’s cash only, which isn’t convenient.

We spent four nights in the rooftop apartment, which has a private terrace and is very comfortable. It’s quiet, and the layout includes a king-size bed, a sofa bed, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, kettle, coffee maker and stovetop, plus a bathroom with a shower. There’s an elevator. Getting into the apartment is self-service with access codes. The pre-arrival instructions were clear and reassuring, and communication with the property was seamless. They answered our requests quickly, thanks Alicia! A tablao in the same building downstairs puts on intimate, high-quality Andalusian flamenco performances. We had a very pleasant stay, with many restaurants nearby and Triana, the bullring, the Alcázar and the Giralda all close. The Alcázar and Giralda are about a 10-minute walk away.
